Donazione Ditta Zin Padova

The Perau factory was founded in Berlin in 1829 by Gottfried Perau. His pianos were appreciated by Liszt and Thalberg. Despite the type of action with which it is equipped and the period of construction, in the present example the hammers are not covered with felt but with several layers of leather. The young Carl Bechstein, who would later become one of the most famous piano builders of all time, worked in the Perau factory.
