The attribution to this manufacturer is based on a few words pencilled on the inside of the soundboard.<\/p>\n

This unusual upright piano shaped like a lyre was first produced by Schleip about 1820, and together with the cabinet, giraffe and pyramid pianos was in vogue for a time, especially in northern Germany.<\/em><\/p>\n
